Pros

Incident response is a field where you genuinely get to make a difference in people's lives, saving a business from failure is extremely rewarding work. BTA is small enough to be agile but big enough to respond to just about anything. No needless bureaucracy, never had a "meeting that could have been an email". A+ players on the team.

Cons

Fully remote work can be hard to adjust to if you are very social or the kind of person that needs "water cooler" culture, but that's a pretty situational con.

Pros

As a current employee at Blue Team Alpha, I can confidently say that this company stands out for its unwavering commitment to excellence, teamwork, and mission-driven approach. Our team is deeply rooted in a culture of collaboration and dedication, which is a direct result of the veteran-focused workforce that forms the heart of this organization. The collective experience, discipline, and work ethic brought by our diverse team—many of whom have military backgrounds—shapes everything we do. In the fast-paced world of cybersecurity, particularly in the incident response space, having a team that operates like a well-oiled machine is essential. Blue Team Alpha's ability to rapidly respond to critical threats is a testament to the strength of our cohesive team dynamics. Every member contributes their unique skillset, whether in proactive defense, offensive tactics, or detailed incident response, and we all share a common goal: to keep our clients secure, no matter the challenge. What truly sets Blue Team Alpha apart is our shared dedication to mission success. We don't just approach cybersecurity as a job—we see it as a calling. The high standards we set for ourselves are reflective of the values instilled in us through our military experience, and it drives us to always go the extra mile for our clients. The level of passion and drive is palpable in every meeting, every operation, and every project we undertake. It's rare to find a company where the level of trust and camaraderie is so high, but at Blue Team Alpha, we have a family-like bond that transcends job titles. That sense of unity and shared purpose directly translates into our top-tier service offerings, ensuring that we deliver the best cybersecurity solutions possible, every time. If you're looking for a company that combines top-notch technical expertise with an unwavering commitment to its mission and its people, Blue Team Alpha is the place to be. The dedication to excellence, the strength of our teamwork, and the drive to protect and secure make this an incredibly fulfilling and impactful workplace.

Cons

As a fast growing organization in the quickly evolving cybersecurity DFIR space, changes in process, procedure and market approach happen on recurring basis to pivot to the action of threat actors and marketplace demands. This type of dynamic environment may not be for everyone.

Pros

100% remote, unlimited PTO, experience the learning tools used, progression in communication with customers and decent direct management. Enjoyed a lot of the employees, great conversation, good work life balance.

Cons

Very unhealthy communication skills from upper management/recruiter, poor direction of what is needed from you at the beginning of joining, when you are onboarding there is no training and they just toss you in. Offers “contract” work that is never used by the company. I was offered a contract job and was told someone would reach out and that person never did. If you are looking to transition from the military THIS IS NOT THE COMPANY. Every intern that I have spoken to has had conversation about how they feel BTA is using free labor and promising things that never happen. I would suggest not reading the reviews that are 5/5 and looking deeper into what actually happens under the mask of smiles. If you are looking to transition into a career save yourself the efforts invest in somewhere else. Although the benefits are decent, not worth it in my opinion.
