Disorganized, inconsistent, and undervaluing design at every turn. They brought me on claiming to have plenty of work, only to provide scattered assignments with no guaranteed hours. Unlike my other contract clients, who operate seamlessly, they treat contractors like employees—requiring full setup in their tools—without offering stability or clarity. They claim to allocate hours per project but expect designers to determine them, likely because they have no idea themselves.
They severely undervalue design, allotting minimal time for execution, which reflects in the poor quality of their work. No amount of SEO can save a website that looks terrible. If you respect yourself as a designer—or even just as a person—stay far away. They are unreliable, flip-flop on commitments, and fail to follow through on their word. Their founder personally ghosted me mid-project discussion, a level of unprofessionalism that speaks volumes.
And if you’re skeptical, just know they’ve wiped their bad reviews—especially the ones from when they fired everyone during COVID and pivoted to their so-called “innovative” contract model. They pay poorly, mislead their hires, and lack basic respect for creative professionals. Run, don’t walk.
