Pros
The TAM is vast and there is a clear need for the solution
Cons
I joined the business just before it was going though a transition period in the UK. The onboarding experience was not very enjoyable. I was required to work late at night to complete boot camp which was based off the US time zone. You are taught how to sell the ‘Birdeye’ way which is very pitchy. It’s clear that the existing ‘managers’ are very inexperienced in their role as managers and this is evident with how they manage their team. I was very micromanaged to the point where I wasn’t even allowed to leave my desk, nitpicked on certain things and my calendar was checked on a regular basis. I found this very suffocating which stifled productivity. The product is good, culture is sound and the TAM is vast. However, this was overshadowed by poor management and their lack of knowledge on how to effectively manage a team. Avoid this company until they properly train their managers. Otherwise they will make your life difficult. Such a shame for what is a promising company. I guess in time this could change, but I can’t imagine in the near future. Also, the benefits are below par.
