Dear colleague, Thank you for your rating and feedback. With Covid behind us - at least for now - we are all looking forward to attending events again and I hope you have the opportunity to enhance your experience of doing so too. With the acquisition of DSM, Biomin is now part of one of the world's leading health, nutrition and life sciences companies. Being part of such a global group gives us the opportunity to offer our employees many different opportunities, both locally and globally, and we think this is a great advantage. Please check with your manager to ensure you are getting the development you desire. Your HR Business Partner will also support you if you wish. Looking forward to an exciting new time within DSM where we can all grow together and create brighter lives for all. Best regards, Claudia

Pros

Competitive Pay, Great Benefits, Progressive U.S. Hub Management, Great Team Environment, Flexible Scheduling, Travel made available to connect with Headquarters (part of their admirable focus on team and office inter-connectivity)

Cons

Travel (could be a pro or a con depending on position and if you like to fly. I underestimated the extent of travel, thus the position ended up not being right for me)

Dear former colleague, thank you so much for taking time to review BIOMIN on Glassdoor and for your good ratings. We will also forward your praise to our management team in charge of our new U.S. hub in Kansas City. We are glad you raised the topic regarding the travel time. We will also forward that remark to the hiring managers in charge. We wish you all the best Birgit Employer Brand Manager ERBER Group

Pros

Benefits are great if you are single

Cons

This is a review of the I/T specialist position (I cannot comment on other positions since I only worked the I/T position). This is not a job for people who have more than a year of I/T experience. There is only one person for the entire North America region. Basically it is a dead end job (no room for growth in the company at this time). Also there was a lot more travel required than they initially led me to believe. The global I/T team in Austria is not the most helpful I/T department. If you are new to the I/T field this would be a great first job. If you are an experienced professional look elsewhere or wait another 5+ years until they have the business and workforce to support the need for multiple I/T people in the region. Also a lot of people working here don't have the best attitudes

Dear former colleague, Thank you very much for taking your time to rate BIOMIN on Glassdoor. We are sorry, that the IT position was not up to your expectation. In general, Regional IT Specialist is a position with a quite wide scope. It reaches from first level support and network maintenance to - depending on the level of experienced of the individual - the opportunity to work on international IT projects together with corporate IT in Austria (Europe). As we normally only have one or two IT Specialists per region the individual is required to manage their own workload. Our subsidiaries in e.g. North America in total have just under 100 employees that this position supports and we continue to double our size every 2-3 years. Including the perspective to also have a growing IT team. Considering this, your constructive feedback was most valuable to pay extra attention to the job description in the course of the recruiting process. We wish you all the best Birgit Employer Brand Manager
