Pros
Biotechnique is a pretty good place to work if you are looking for exciting and cutting edge research in the fast-growing biotech industry. The company is aggessively growing and there seems to be a steady stream of new opportunities. Biotechnique is conducting original research in the latest nanotechnology therapies to find a cure for cancer as well as supporting clients around the globe in the manufacturing of a wide range of sterile injectables. The people I work with are supportive and my contacts with top company management have been positive. There seems to be a genuine interest what employees are thinking and the company is more than willing to explore new ways of getting the job done if you come up with a better idea. At the same time, there's no denying that the job can be challenging and requires a willingness to learning new research and manufacturing techniques. The work is fast paced and everyone is expected to work hard. I like that kind of team spirit and feeling like I'm a part of a team that is making a difference.
Cons
I suppose some of the things that I find positive such as the travel and getting the job done even if it means working long hours, others might find off-putting.
