Pros
- Great place for those just who are starting off their careers. You will learn a lot in a very short amount of time. - Opportunity to wear multiple hats because it is a smaller company. - Close-knit family feel, you will easily develop many good friendships here. - Client driven company so opportunities to network with many sponsor pharmaceutical companies and build useful connections. - Very hands on new management team and President, which you don't see at many companies. - Fast pace environment so never a dull day where you're not doing anything.
Cons
- This is a stepping stone job/company that you stay at for 1-2 years and leave. - Extremely high employee turnover, seems like every other week there was someone leaving. - Although the new management/leadership is great, there is lots of damage control needed due to the old management who didn't know what they were doing and drove their departments to the ground. - Stressful and chaotic environment due to lack of proper workflows/systems in place. -Directive on priorities and status of different tasks and projects are not clear and usually not communicated well. - Over promising of unrealistic timelines and commitments to clients for the sake of revenue. - Most of the staff is new in their career and very young, needs more seasoned scientists/analysts/etc. that know what they are doing to help mentor the younger employees. - Lots of people working long days and coming in on weekends.
