For the past few years the company has been in an cycle of hiring in upper management that proceed to hire their previous employees and lay off current ones that have contributed significantly.
For still considering themselves a startup they have zero appreciation for employees that have stuck with them since the beginning. They showed recognition for 10 year work anniversaries telling us "you are Binary Defense", but then two weeks later let us go without so much as a second thought.
There was a lot of potential with this company for such a long time because of the solid and talented people they had doing the actual work, but all of those people have become victims of greedy leadership at this point.
