Pros
There are some nice things to working at better buzz, free drinks, free food, tips, flexible scheduling depending on the manager. You can make some friends. One of the easiest jobs as a barista, however that changes if you are a supervisors/ manager.
Cons
There are by far more cons to working here than pros. As someone in leadership, and someone who obviously knew many people in management, no one ever leaves satisfied. Upper management does not care about any of their subordiantes, you are viewed merely as a number. I have seen this company screw over many colleagues in the name of profits. Many times raises, and wages are withheld or promised like a carrot on a stick. Many times I have heard management claim they do not have the money to pay their leadership more but they have the money to open a new store every month. As a former supervisor, you will do the same amount of work as a manager but will not be compensated according, sometimes only making cents more than a barista. This may seem like a small local coffee shop, but do not be deceived they operate like any other large corporation. Without any real concern for their employees they lack integrity and leadership. The bad leadership affects the company top to bottom. If you are thinking of working here, expect bad hours, bad pay, high expectations with no reward, stress, burnout, and regret. I would also advise about being picky about where to order food from as sanitation can be hit or miss. This company cares more about their "drive times" then the quality of the food being delivered to the customer. Other issues that I have seen is sexual harassment within the company. lgbt discrimination, (they claim to be allies but are really only using the lgbt movement for marketing.)
