Pros

Aviation is a great industry to work in when economy is good - bad when it is bad. Customers are for the most part awesome and that is what makes it worthwhile.

Cons

Management keeps their head in the sand and it is running the company in the ground. I have been working here for 20 years and have seen things come full circle and management reinvents the wheel and we are back at square 1 and they scratch their heads and wonder why. They do not listen to customers and employee feedback and actually consider customers who demand better service as "problem customers" and do not return their phone calls and run them off.

Pros

Overall a fantastic mom and pop shoppe in the small town of Durand, family owned, well built product and overall one of a kind!

Cons

Not many other companies or buyers are aware of this small production company.

Pros

Good benefits package and good starting pay. The employees that are close to retirement are very nice. Good tuition assistance if you can find the time outside of work and if your supervisor approves it.

Cons

First and foremost this company has a serious middle management problem. Managers seem to be ringers and most don't even know how to fly an airplane. In my experience if they need to know something they run and cram the night before. They recently instituted pay raises but only for a select few including the senior leadership to retain the senior leadership (which does not make sense since nobody wants leadership from a restructure/bankruptcy.) Middle management has a good ole boy system and if your British you are layoff proof. Tuition assistance paid for by taxpayers but employees (also taxpayers) can not take classes if the manager does not approve. Cannot take classes during work hours which can be difficult because of the work load, and there is no in house training or mentoring which makes it a great stepping stone for new employees. With the layoffs and impending layoffs the atmosphere is abrasive with cloak and dagger especially from the ole boys club. Bullying.
