Pros

- Amazing opportunity to watch plans change faster than Slack notifications. - You’ll gain serious experience in managing someone else’s emotional baggage at work. - You’ll leave with stories - lots of them. Mostly starting with “you won’t believe what happened at work today…”

Cons

- Micromanagement to the extreme. Every move is watched, including who takes breaks, when they leave their desk, and how long it takes to eat lunch. - Leadership brings their personal chaos into the office daily - mood swings, tension, and last-minute changes based on absolutely nothing. - Planning doesn’t exist. Priorities shift with emotions, not logic. - Equity was promised as part of the “vision,” but somehow never materialized - just like most of the plans. - Constant pressure, no clear direction, and zero autonomy unless you’re okay being blamed for things out of your control.

Pros

Interesting product with a good mission - but for a company that makes a product for "mental health" they sure don't practice what they preach.

Cons

Such a horrible work environment. Terrible leadership, understaffed, and the company is based on lies (not based in NY at all - staff is based in Dubai). You will work have limited support, and difficulty reaching those you need to in upper management while simultaneously being scolded for not being efficient enough.

Pros

trauma bonding with coworkers . One free weighted blanket if you work there for six months and they don’t forget …..

Cons

-company isn’t actually based out of the US (like they say) but Dubai, and they employ almost no people in the US. Dubai employees are expected to work incredibly long hours and intensely monitored for performance, and remote/international employees are constantly suspected of being lazy/inefficient -upper management positions held by family members who don’t hold each other to ethical or professional standards -company’s overarching vision and goals dramatically change constantly, as do expectations for individual employee performance -employees consistently expected to take on responsibilities outside of job description/role without additional compensation “because it’s a startup” -upper management thinks HR reps are a waste of moneyso doesn’t employ any. Means there is no point person to communicate with about benefits or compensation, nobody to report to if an HR/interpersonal issue happen (like management verbally abusing employees in meetings), and no clear policies of any kind. -company’s public facing values (“sustainability” and “mental health”) are nowhere to be seen in internal operations -everything is disorganized and upper management constantly talks about improving “processes”, but that’s not actually possible if you change your mind constantly and don’t trust your employees or allow them to make autonomous decisions
