Cons
Professional development - staff learns things 'trial by fire' style and low level staff given too many responsibilities There is no communication from stores to corporation about what is needed from corp. to succeed Associates responsible for sales are given "call in" shifts as if this is a new business and they can't predict the needs of the business. Also, they have to call an hour before they would have to come in which is unreasonable. Professionalism, organization, leadership skills, communication skills all lacking in stores Safety issues a major concern. Management unable to present a united front or to bring teams together to reach a common goal. Corp. does not place people in stores that can speak the language(s) of the demographic Senior management completely out of touch with reality in stores Staff is focused on personal relationships, inappropriate language and behavior a norm.
