Pros
Production floor had a great work culture. Everyone looked out for one another and truly wanted to help. The office people generally were very pleasant and personable as well. PTO policy was excellent. I would give 4.5-ish stars if it weren't for the cons.
Cons
In the most recent biannual company wide survey, the biggest complaint was communication between departments and from the top down. The health insurance was abysmal. Also, on June 24, 2026 the parent company implemented a surprise mass layoff. They blamed the US military and Ukraine war for low sales requiring a reduction in force. They rounded us into a meeting room in waves to tell us we had to pack our things and leave immediately. Between one quarter and one third of the company was let go within the span of a few hours, ranging from new hires to at least one employee with over 30 years of service to the company. Floor workers were most affected but every department was reduced and at least one director was let go. It is my opinion that not even the Barrett CEO's job is safe at this point.
