Pros
I think the only pro I can think of is, aside from the fact that I was employed was their employee Learn Eye Care program to help you become a certified optician.
Cons
There are literally too many to list. Low pay, bad hours that included late days and weekends, high volume of Medicaid patients, high pressure sales environment that put sales goals above patient care, health literacy, and morals and off the charts employee turnover rate. Some members of management team were highly qualified and knowledgeable but this was under shadowed by the highly unprofessional and toxic work culture and disregard for employee work-life balance or paying a living wage. We actually had employees who carried guns under there scrubs and others who came to work drunk!! Surprisingly, this was not cause for termination at this company. Management was vengeful and clearly treated people poorly who reported misconduct or ill treatment. I worked in other offices where this behavior wasn't the norm, but I would still not recommend the company to anyone.
