Small feel bank. Great company to work for. Cares about its employees.

Overtime hours due to being short-staffed.

Pay was just okay, benefits were good. I was flown to the corporate office for training and the whole corporate team was wonderful, very professional and helpful.

Sales manager/broker was not held accountable for her unprofessional behavior and poor treatment of BankNewport employees who sat in her branch. Corporate management pulled me aside and forewarned me about the particular broker whose local branch office I would be working in. They let me know that there had been interpersonal problems between her and the previous person who held my position. Even while I was out of town at the corporate office and had only been with the company for 3 weeks, this broker was hounding me via phone and emails to work her files for her, making it hard to focus on learning during training time.
