Pros

Love working for this company! First of all, the mission is awesome. Taking down America's powerhouse banks? Sign me up. The products really are THE BEST in banking today. No one else can compare. Also, this mission supports local banks - who already have the best service! Equip those banks with products that kill corporate banking on Wall Street and you had me at hello. Second - benefits are the best I have ever had. You will work hard, but work/life balance is not just an idea here. It's a reality. Unlimited PTO is one of those factors that make it innovative. Another are the fun activities that are set up to make life great. I enjoy running and I was able to participate in an overnight relay with my coworkers that covered 92 miles. Not only was it paid for, but the leadership here rented 2 RV's for us to ride in between relays. The CEO himself stayed up until 4:30am to cheer us on as we passed one of the final legs of the relay. There are ultimate Frisbee clubs, musical clubs, social networking events. I could go on and on.

Cons

Because the company and the idea is so new, clear paths to promotion are not established, however I can say with certainty that internal promotions are frequent. They might be across departments but they are clearly promoting hard workers from within.

Thanks for the kind words. It is awesome to hear how much you enjoy working here. I also appreciate the constructive feedback. As we continue to grow, we will continue to work with everyone on figuring out how best to play out clear paths to promotion.

Pros

The mission is real and people for the most part are proud to support the little banks and credit unions that do a lot more for their communities than the mega banks do. The culture is very strong, but I don't call it "good". "Good" is subjective and will be different for each person. It's perfectly reasonable for a great person to find our culture to be a poor fit for them, but that's always the risk of having a STRONG culture. It means you aren't trying to be all things to all people. It takes a special kind of person, more of a self starter, to thrive here. And that's not for everyone, but it works for me and the vast majority of my coworkers. Benefits are solid. Work Life balance is good for most positions (but there are some that have unequal share of the load - and that's an area to improve). People are genuinely respected. While there are always cases where any company will miss the mark, the management team is overall very concerned about respecting the dignity of every employee.

Cons

The company's aspirations are BIG and finding resources to address the opportunities is sometimes hard. Though, I think we've gotten better about prioritizing things so this is at least a smaller (though not nonexistent) issue. As I mentioned above, there are pockets of teams w/ Work/Life Balance problems.

Thank you for your perspective. I like your comments regarding culture and how whether or not someone will like it depends on fit. Thanks for also providing some good constructive feedback. We will work hard to address those.
