Pros

Everyone from partners to staff is respectful and polite. No toxic office politics or backstabbing among associates or junior partners.

Cons

No HR department, only office manager in KC and STL. Management chooses ignorance of technology needs i.e. does not provide laptops etc. to billing employees (even during COVID). No transparency from STL management re: atty salaries, tiers, bonuses, path to partnership. Annual reviews are not "annual". No incentive for attys to generate new business because no origination given. Exit interviews only for employees expected to give favorable feedback. No commitment to diversity. While law firm model is admittedly outdated in general, this firm is especially dysfunctional as it choses to keep head in the sand. Result is culture of attys who do not trust management or feel heard or supported. Revolving door of associates is no surprise. STL office treated like stepchild of KC office. Firm MP should spend one week a month working in STL to est. relationships and appreciate culture.
