Pros

Nothing much to think of.

Cons

Horrible editors - I haven't worked with many. But the ones I did, were really horrible. They keep stressing on unnecessary details , making you go back and forth with the write-up for ages.

Eugen here (the CEO). First - thanks for the feedback. Yes, we do stress a lot about what some could consider "unnecessary details". Of course, I personally see these as quite necessary, as so do our editors. But, of course, I do understand how that might not be the best fit for every author. And, if we're not a good fit - that's absolutely fine. What is an open question for me is - why would you go on to do multiple articles - if we're not a good fit? Wouldn't it make more sense to simply wrap up the engagement? Food for thought.

Pros

The platform does rank high in Google search results. They have a wide variety of topics. They include working code samples.

Cons

They have absolutely zero respect for the value of other's time. As noted in other reviews, the back and forth over minor edits consume enormous amount of time. Each article has an entire Java project in the same shared repo which is not sustainable and bogs down your machine. They refuse to give you credit for your work unless you give up the meager payment. The payment per article insultingly low as well.

First, thanks for the feedback, that's always helpful. Jumping right in - I can fully confirm the editorial team is giving a lot of feedback, on both minor and major things. Most authors appreciate the feedback, as they become better writers as a result. Now, in terms of the credit - you can certainly be both paid for your work as well as have attribution - that's well documented. Finally - about video - not sure what that has to do with the writing side of things. That doesn't involve any video work. Cheers, Eugen.
