Pros

The product you will be working on is very neat and since the company is smaller, developers have a very direct impact on features added to the product. During my employment here I learned a ton and I felt like I became close to everyone on the team. Jad and Suzie (The owners) are great. They are super receptive to feedback and care about getting employees to where they want to go if possible. It was great having bosses that I felt worked as hard (if not harder) than their employees. They are also just interesting people to talk to (Ask Jad about his tattoo). There is also opportunity for travel for those that want to. The insurance / benefits are good. Great upward mobility here, since it is a smaller company with good prospects it is a chance to get in on the ground floor of something bigger. Why did I leave if I have so much good to say about this place? I guess I just listened to The World at Large one too many times and decided it was time for something new.

Cons

Sometimes when deliverables are coming up the team has to put in extra hours , but that usually comes with less work for a bit after the deliverable so it's not an endless crunch or anything.

Pros

Opportunity. There's so much opportunity for growth in your career here at BadVR. With this company being a tech start-up, one that's already gained so much attention with their technology, I feel privileged to have been one of the first few groups of employees since being hired a year ago. Yes, the environment is fast at times, but this is again, a tech start-up, and the pace is no different anywhere else that's doing what we do. Freedom. I am so thankful for the ability to work remotely, anywhere I want to for that matter. I appreciate being able to delegate my own hours and get my work completed around what works best for my personal life. Communication. I've always felt that I've been able to effectively communicate with all management and both founders here at this company which is not always as easy with other companies. Being in a higher-level role myself, it's important that I have the ability to reach our decisions makers at all times of the day, which I always can. Passion. There's a lot of passion here and a lot of talent. It's my type of vibe and the type of environment that I succeed in. I appreciate the structure, it makes me excited to work towards the bigger rewards I know this type of passionate environment delivers - and for that, I don't feel like I'm just working towards building someone else's dream.

Cons

Although I love being remote, working in the same office can sometimes make it easier to communicate with the team.
