Pros
Really diverse workplace. Majority of the team is queer or neurodivergent in someway. Benifits are astounding. Fully covered health, dental, life, vision is worth any woes you may have here. Plenty of vacation, sick days, and supportive of mental health leave.
Cons
Team leads lack constructive criticism and often have outbursts or are degrading towards employees when frustrated. Not a whole lot of opportunities to switch roles. No HR department for discussing workplace accommodations or talking about benifits details.
Pros
Pay is pretty stellar for a entry level job, full benefits, and good opportunities for growth. Pay is heavily performance based pay. You get store discounts, good people to work with. Weekends off and most holidays off. Company has a small staff as opposed to a massive staff, which is great for interpersonal work drama reduction. It's easy to get time off, generous paid vacation and sick time. You get a set schedule and there's opportunity of OT sometimes. You can have colored hair, tattoos, piercings, facial hair ect. This company is excellent for people of the LGBTQ+ community.
Cons
Management does NOT know how to work with the vast majority of employees without being abrasive, rude, condescending, or patronizing when mistakes or miscommunication happens. A quick "hey can you do this thing" is not effective communication in a fast paced environment. Lower and middle management has poor communication with a majority of the team that is neurodivergent (autism, Adhd, mental illnesses) and any conversation regarding accommodation with the ADA is usually ignored or dismissed. If you can't adapt quickly and work without support or some guidance, I wouldn't apply here. There's a constant struggle with ADHD and autistic employees not getting clear, detailed communication from middle and lower management, while management will rip you off a promoted position quite quickly if you can't show perfect critical thinking skills. Some promotions don't come with increased pay, but only increased responsibility with your current pay. It can be a high stress environment at times. Your lunch break is only 15 minutes and you have to inhale your food and rush back to work. There is NO HR department for this company. Which is worrisome with the many rumors about the company that have been going on for years. Suggestions on how to improve issues or make a task more efficient are usually dismissed. Majority of the jobs here are about meeting numbers, rather than increasing employees performance through proper patient guidance and support. You usually don't get to pick your shift, morning shift rarely has openings, you'll most likely be offered an evening shift if you get a call back. They are a bit picky on who they hire dispite needing more employees.
