Pros
Boutique agency means that you wear a lot more hats and gain a lot more experience than you would at a larger agency where you have a specific role. I got to experience copywriting, social media strategy, web development process, scripting and executing videos, creating annual marketing budgets, etc.
Being my first job out of school I learned a lot of great habits at BTI, especially when it comes to attention to detail; they have high standards and it makes you a better employee because of it.
The people are great, it feels more like a family than an office.
Location is great; in the heart of Streetsville, on a bus line, surrounded by restaurants, close to the highway, inside a home rather than a large office building.
Cons
Being a boutique agency means there are limited opportunities for career advancements. You can continue to grow and get better at your role, however there isn't a lot of room for promotions.
This is not the type of place to work if you don't have a strong team mentality. If you just want to come in do your role and leave, you will be disappointed. The environment is collaborative, and sometimes you have to get your hands dirty moving boxes, rearranging and cleaning etc, for the good of the overall team.
