Pros
The firm is well respected and is not going anywhere. I received great exposure as an intern and really felt I became a member of my line of business. I think the team mentality is a tremendous asset to the firm, as is its new business model. The merger was a great thing for the industry and for both firms. BNY Mellon will be a formidable bank in years to come.
Cons
Though the merger has been a great thing for the company, competing ideologies still exist. The company is well regarded, offers great products but still can not figure out whether Pittsburgh or New York runs the bank. At times it can be too political between legacy Mellon and legacy Bank of New York employees.
