Pros

Decent enough technology (although still v dependent on mainframe revenues). CEO knows what he is doing (although his part in the BladeLogic fiasco will stain his reputation).

Cons

Have been at BMC 5 years, first 4 some of the best years of my career. In those years great team spirit, good management and a culture that encouraged innoivatgion and success very well rewarded. The BladeLogic acquisition and the reverse take over of the sales team has however killed everything that used to be good about BMC. Be clear - these people do not know how to manage customers, staff or sales cycles. They are cowboys of the worst type who will screw anybody over in their pursuit of a dollar.

Pros

Life balance and culture is good. Management is okay.

Cons

Constant layoffs for the past 3 years, and letting key talents go.
