Bullying atmosphere in need of internal review - Senior Graphic Designer BD Signs Employee Review

- Great team both design and prodcution - Design for a wide range of clients - work in most areas of design from signage to marketing

- when the boss shows up a grey cloud fills the room if he's annoyed he takes it out on his workers, and you can hear him shouting at his staff members in his office. -the boss treats his apprentices like they are senior level designers and actively shout at them doesn't really train them just use them as cheap labour and they have been through quite a few - management (aside from one person) follow in the boss' footstep and tries to shout at staff members themselves - unethical rules are invented constantly to benefit only the boss and his managers. - family run business, one of the first things i was told when i started was "family means nothing here in our work environment, everyone gets treated the same" that was the biggest load of lie i was told when i worked there

Working at BD Signs gives you the opportunity to be creative every day and you never feel like your ideas aren't good enough as management thrive off of your input and encourage you to play as large a role as possible in creating designs for clients. I feel like the director especially guides you with his experience rather than tells you what to do. We as a team bounce off of eachother, management included. The atmosphere is great at BD as we all care about the end goal of creating something unique for our clients. Everyone gets along and each day is treated as an opportunity to enhance our skills and our abilities as designers. I have learnt so much since starting at BD and i finally have the creative freedom i have always wanted throughout my work life.

Sometimes we have very tight deadlines due to problematic customers which does cause stress. Some past members of staff have brought down the atmosphere here which can be frustrating for the rest of us.
