Cons
Finance dept is run by individual that unfortunately received that role by seniority, not merit. Dept lead lacks emotional intelligence, basic computer/technology skills, doesnt know pivot tables or vlookups, knows nothing outside of their functional role, doesnt know what an ERP system is, doesnt know how to balance their own financial books -- has an off the books CPA do it, idea of management/leadership/training is referring the person to a binder to read. High turnover rate in dept due to this poor support structure. Each dept has their own holiday party, finance's holiday party was to watch a movie at the theaters...very telling of this group, they'd rather sit in silence in a dark theater than communicate and interact with one another. Publicly traded company but only have a budget for water.
