Pros

1. Comp structure 2. Company's Mission 3. Cool star wars theme office 4. Rick Smith and Jawad Ahsan 5. I wish there was a #5 to add here ...

Cons

Countless but here are the main ones - 1. Trying to be Amazon with Axon's vision, Taser leadership and mission. Ain't happening. Good luck! 2. No work-life balance.. NONE. Extremely under resourced with high churn but the work doesn't slow down. You get excited about the mission, you work passionately, put upwards of 50 hrs a week and yet the product doesn't launch and the real reason for launch failure is manipulated. The manipulators keep growing and the worker bees get yelled at in ridiculous number of review meetings. 3. Disrespectful treatment, use of foul language, demeaning tone and body language in meetings. 4. Expectations to get rolling without any training or real onboarding. 5. No alignment between R&D, sales and finance. Sales keeps winning with the power of OSP bundles and upper hand on hardware solutions. 6. ZBB is a joke. 7. Confusing structure in R&D - product managers are also project managers and sometimes engineering managers too. Engineering muscle is very weak and good talent is hard to retain.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and thoughts. While we’re glad elements of your time with us were positive, we’re disappointed to hear you felt let down. Our mission to Protect Life comes first and, like you, we feel a connection to the meaningful work we do. We’re solving some of society’s biggest problems, which attracts passionate people who care deeply about what they do. We recognize that in pursuit of these goals there are things we can do better, including improved facilitation of work life balance and further development of onboarding across the business. Our leadership has identified these two areas and is working hard to solve them—hiring more headcount, supporting employees to take time to unplug, reassessing our benefits and building out more robust onboarding plans. In addition, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can feel safe and welcome, and we will be investigating these claims. We’d appreciate if you would reach out to our People Operations team (peopleops@axon.com) to share more detail. Thank you again for your candor.

Pros

Good pay and benefits Flexible PTO RSU's

Cons

Company morale is low. The other recent reviews stating this are extremely accurate. Company culture has eroded and the company values don't seem to matter anymore. 'Winning Right' has become lip service. Senior leadership refuses to address the problems many departments are having with headcount and workload. They don't really care about the customer experience. RTO makes no sense when most of your team remains remote in the same role, a role in which you spend much of the time on calls with customers and meeting with other team members virtually. Not enough staff to support the RMS customer base and ticket counts have ballooned.
