Pros
I worked for Avid's Customer Support team, specifically for their audio post production products (Pro Tools, interfaces, and S6) and by the end of my time there, I was performing a cross functional role where I was the liason between the global customer care organization, customers, hardware and software engineering teams, and marketing. I can truly say I enjoyed my work, and I loved the people I got to work with.
Cons
Despite all I was doing, my role didn't generate any performance "metrics" and so...when the time came to evaluate/cut the fat to make the company more attractive for a private sale...I was laid off.
