Pros
Given some of the best equipment in the industry. Customers can be brilliant (or not).
Cons
You are just number, no matter how good or experienced you are, you are just another expenditure to them. Rules for technicians are set by people who haven't done the job in many years if at all. Contracted to "offer additional services" (sell wipers), reality is you are targeted to sell, and your job is always at risk if you can't make customers buy overpriced wipers. All that matters is numbers. Can't do a job because the weather is horrendous and you would get in trouble for breach of safety regulations or for not following their fitting rules? It is still held against you. Everything is the technicians fault, no matter what it is. No scope for progression. Couple of technician skill levels where the targets to move up are constantly pushed further away but that's it. - even though you will be expected to do jobs at the higher paid skill level whether you are paid that level or not.
