Pros

N/A - worst job I've had

Cons

- Don't follow the law - no breaks on shifts, even on long days; are expected to finish at 10pm and return at 7.30am the next day so constantly exhausted - I didn't know until after I'd accepted the job that it would be in residential care. I applied to be an autism support worker but the job is essentially a nurse and a cleaner -Training doesn't cover what you will actually be doing on shift -Safeguarding concerns are ignored -Sexual harassment is downplayed and normalised -No benefits for working unsocialable hours

Pros

Training, and the skills learned in the training experience only.

Cons

By far the worst job I have ever had. No care for their staff whatsoever, and bare minimum care for their service users. Staff turnover was extremely high. I was dismissed due to health reasons. It is the only job I've ever worked which does not provide uninterrupted breaks, claiming they have some "loophole". Staff spirit is low, gossip is rampant, and long-serving staff members were punished for expressing discontent.
