Pros
Residents and community staff are only reason to work for this company - once you get to the regional level staff you get only a pretense of caring what happens to the staff or residents.
Cons
Regional and Senior leadership staff are interested in only one thing - census. How are you doing operationally in any other facet is unimportant. Part of this is due to the ownership structure where SVPs and up often have ownership interest- so communities are expected do more with less (supplies, staff, equipment) so your NOI is maximized for their pocket. A very unhealthy atmosphere for the community staff - especially when care staff must run short-staffed and are prohibited from OT to fill open shifts.
