Pros
They have many talented employees and have interesting projects to work on and solve on a daily basis.
Cons
The company operates very much like an early-stage startup — fast-moving, deadline-driven, and constantly under pressure. While speed can be energizing, the combination of aggressive timelines and tight deadlines often translates into extremely long work hours. Many of the project timelines felt unrealistic from the start, which created a cycle of urgency rather than sustainable execution.
What concerned me most before I decided to leave was the pattern I observed within the engineering team. The engineers who were doing the majority of the heavy lifting gradually left, largely due to leadership’s tendency to overpromise, coupled with a lack of appreciation and recognition for the work being done. In addition, the company’s capital burn rate appeared concerning, adding another layer of uncertainty. While the company may ultimately succeed, from my perspective at the time, the risks seemed to outweigh the foundation in place.
