After my customer contract abruptly ended in March 2024, Atlas changed my last day work in order to justify further delaying my payment from Dec. 2023 (which they withheld as arrears). Although alll invoices have been paid by the customer - to this moment (October 2024) Atlas has still not paid me for the arrears they withheld in Dec. 2023. By Fed/State FLSA wage and hour law I should have been paid on the next pay period (March 15th). Initially, I assumed that they were just ignorant to Fed/State wage and hour laws, I'm fairly convinced that they have just operate in this manner and have never been held accountable by anyone. The matter is now sitting with the court. Fortunately, I have never had an issue like this in my 25+ years in the HR/Payroll technology/operations industry. All the vendor and employer I have worked for have abided by contract, not to mention federal/state termination regulations. This experience has been a real lesson learned.
