Pros

Atlas Corps is a mission-driven organization that supports other mission-driven organizations by facilitating an overseas fellowship of the world's best non-profit leaders. Everyone at Atlas Corps IS mission-driven, and works with dedication, tact, skill, and respect. From the executive level to the interns, innovation and fun are encouraged. You feel that you are part of the organization's growth and success. The work environment is very positive and team-oriented, and you can tell this when you interact with employees. Management does not count the hours you're at your desk, but rather, measures success via results. This allows employees to play to their individual work styles and strengths. There are flex hours, unlimited vacation days, and systems in place to develop professionally. I would recommend working there without hesitation, for the opportunity to learn, be surrounded by dedicated and passionate staff, and form lasting relationships with the world's best non-profit leaders and organizations.

Cons

There is a lot of administrative work at every level of the organization (from the CEO to associate-level staff), which is a reality when working in any small non-profit. On the other hand, the small team creates a tight-knit environment and it's easy to balance the administrative work with creativity and fun. The lack of bureaucracy, as compared to larger organizations, is also refreshing.
