Pros

HR was decently competent. The annual bonus was adequate and what I would expect in this sector.

Cons

Clique culture: Working at Atamis felt like infiltrating a family reunion—too many family members across departments, creating an isolating, insular atmosphere for outsiders. Work-life balance hypocrisy: Sure, the balance is "good"—if you don’t mind getting contacted after hours by managers who ignored you during the workday. Micro-management nightmare: My first manager's idea of management? Constant micro-managing, proving they had no clue how to actually manage. False job promises: What I was sold and what I actually did were worlds apart—I had to recreate my entire role from scratch. Unprofessional conduct: The low point? Senior management circulating an email boasting about winning an Employment Tribunal case—without mentioning they steamrolled an unrepresented ex-employee who never stood a chance.

Atamis Response

Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback. We are committed to making Atamis a great place to work so we are obviously disappointed when we hear a former employee doesn't feel that way. We have recently conducted an anonymous employee satisfaction survey in order to find out how everyone feels about working here. The survey response rate was higher than the industry average at over 75% and we were delighted that more than 82% of people provided a positive response to the question: "Would you recommend Atamis to your friends as a place to work?" while more than 88% of people responded positively to the statement "I am satisfied with my workplace". In terms of work-life balance, more than 89% of people who responded agree that the company encourages and promotes work-life balance. In the results of a separate survey conducted by an external agency earlier this year, again anonymously, we were pleased to see that the percentage of Atamis employees rating wellness support as "Good" or "Very Good" had increased from 75% in 2023 to 80% in 2024. Satisfaction with policies on work life balance was also high with over 83% of our people responding positively on this. We are sorry that Atamis didn't turn out to be what you expected and wasn't a good cultural fit for you. Should you feel you would benefit from discussing this further offline we would be happy to arrange a call. Either way, we wish you well in your next role. - Phil
