Pros

There are few. The only things I can think of are: - Comradery feel with other non-management staff due to working conditions. - The ridiculous standards do help you get better at certain things.

Cons

- Awful working culture. - Barely feasible standards that are very subjective in many areas. - Management believe the company is wonderful - maybe the bottom line is for them, but for the other staff, it is paltry. - Both subsequent jobs have been wonderful for my mental health after genuine issues stemming from workplace environment. - After a bunch of accurate negative reviews on Glassdoor, management ask for glowing reviews from existing staff that will likely feel they need to do so. The main takeaway I want to provide to prospective candidates is that the negative reviews are genuinely the state of the company. The positives are not true representations.

I’m really sorry that you felt your time with us was negative. We do try hard to make everyone’s experience a positive one and it’s disappointing that it wasn’t that way for you. We certainly do have high standards. Creating the best quality courses and materials is a top priority so that we can deliver the best possible resources for our students. Our mission is to make difficult subjects easy to learn and understand and that can be a really hard thing to achieve. We have over 500 trustpilot reviews with an average of 4.7 and judging by their comments, they love what we do to support them. But, achieving this does mean that we do edit all our courses heavily until we’re happy that they are really student focused and make learning really clear and simple. Where staff find those standards difficult, we provide significant feedback, training courses and personal one-to-one coaching to help them to improve. We have also realised that for some staff, even with extra support, meeting those standards has proved extremely difficult/impossible and we have, therefore, successfully improved our recruitment processes over recent years to ensure we get the right people from the outset. In terms of your point about ‘fake’ reviews, that certainly isn’t true. Around 2020-2021, we were aware that our Glassdoor account had very few reviews, so asked all current staff if they were willing to leave a review, and many did. Leaving a review was not compulsory, nor was anyone asked to specifically make it positive, just to reflect their experience working with us. In terms of culture, we work really hard to create a positive culture. We do this in a variety of ways, including: a 10 in 9 scheme that means everyone gets every other Friday off work, a flex scheme which allows people to choose up to 31 extra days holidays each year, 3 days a week working from home, regular socials (including a number a year on company time), group training sessions (including an annual away week for managers), additional days for working from home that allow people to work from anywhere in the world for a few weeks a year or to be flexible for appointments at home, quarterly staff surveys which we act on wherever possible and a profit sharing scheme so that all staff have the opportunity to benefit from the company’s success. I appreciate that some of these measures may have been introduced since you worked with us, but can assure you that creating a great working culture is a top priority for us. Once again, I’m sorry that your time with us wasn’t good but am really pleased to hear that you’ve had positive experiences in your subsequent roles and wish you all the very best in your career going forward. Nick

Pros

I recently joined Astranti, and the onboarding experience has been brilliant. From day one, the team has been incredibly friendly and helpful, making it very easy to settle in and feel part of the group. What stands out most is the culture and values. Management truly puts employees first and is remarkably flexible in meeting individual needs. You can really feel the passion across the company; everyone is genuinely dedicated to their role and to helping students succeed. This environment makes me want to work to the best of my ability because I feel so supported by my colleagues and want to give that same support back to the team.

Cons

As with any passionate, growing company, it can be fast-paced. You need to be proactive and ready to dive in, but the supportive culture makes that easy to manage."

Pros

Each individual I've interacted with in this company has been incredibly welcoming, kind and supportive. They have accommodated me in ways that have allowed me to perform well and improve in my role. The approach for employees is that everyone has room to improve, and regular check-ins with managers are always framed as constructive critiques rather than criticism. When they say they want to see you succeed, I truly believe them! It feels so refreshing to work in a job/company that makes me feel valued and respected while also building a path toward growth in front of me. This is also my first hybrid job. I live close to the office so I personally choose to work in the office more often as it works best for me, but the '2 in office, 3 at home' schedule is a great benefit to have if you need it. Communication also comes across as quite open and strong across the board. Higher-ups regularly engage with employees, and employees and managers have channels to pass along messages, ask questions and get help as needed. As a recent starter, it's reassuring to know I'm welcome to ask 20 questions a day and will always get an answer.

Cons

Astranti heavily utilizes a 'learn by doing' approach when you join the team. This looks different across various roles, and in my experience it's mostly been positive. However, there have been several moments where I feel more structured training / material packs would have been useful. A month in, there were informative training videos provided to me that may have been useful to have watched in my first couple of weeks to save me asking questions or making mistakes. I also ended up creating various 'cheat sheets' and similar documents full of organized, helpful information that would be useful in my role. Things like this, I would have expected to have already existed in a pack or file to be given to new joiners for review. Astranti certainly encourages learning-by-doing and asking questions, but I feel there may have been many times where this time could have been saved had appropriate training materials been created and provided from the beginning. That being said, I was given adequate time to create these things for myself as I requested it for my benefit and others. One document I made is even being turned into something to be shared with students going forward.
