Pros

Great remote first organization. Competitive pay. Well capitalized. Good WLB in some teams. ICs are mostly well shielded from negatives. Pretty cool product with lots of promise. People genuinely work to improve things but it's not the priority. Lots of fun challenges to work on. Pockets of really solid folks to get to know who are going to be the ones to get us to critical mass as far as improving culture and quality.

Cons

Resistant to improving culture and process. Product engineering is chaotic and doesn't focus enough on quality and maintainability. Flat structure is a joke, shadow structures and implicit responsibility and authority are everywhere. Leadership could seriously use work especially in engineering. Zero consistency in how teams are managed, no ability to effectively organize and address a clear and convincing product vision more than a week at a time. Young founders combined with no real accountability to a board or investors means the top of the org doesn't know what it doesn't know or how things could be better.

Pros

Extreme sense of ownership, high talent bar especially for the stage of company, interesting and complex product space. Extremely flat organization by design that rewards people for great work. Company is performing extremely well.

Cons

Company is evolving rapidly from founder mode to more distributed ownership and occasionally has growing pains. The new round of leaders brought in are very strong and positively influencing the culture (CPO, CMO, CoS)

Pros

I haven't been here long, but let me tell you, this place is such a breath of fresh air from other engineering cultures I've been a part of. The org structure is very flat, with a 'zero micromanagement' vibe across the board. Everyone is empowered to identify blockers, break down work, and get stuff done. This is a dream job for those who are self-starters. All of my colleagues seem genuinely interested in the mission, and take extreme ownership over business outcomes. - Great pay - Awesome perks (weekly lunch stipend, 401k match, great health care, ownership) - Fully remote

Cons

- Young-ish company, so a lot of processes are being worked on or are in-flight. Still, the engineering bar is very high and it feels like we're moving in the right direction
