Pros

I have enjoyed my time with AVP, I wasn't sure I would stay when our PO told us the clinic was being sold. I am glad I did, there have been some changes but I feel supported and I finally feel like I am learning the new things in my position everyday.

Cons

I really think most of the cons I have had have been taken care of. There were times were I didn't feel as supported and things that I had asked about of for had been let go. I think that was because there wasn't enough upper management support staff to help with each clinic, but new people have come on board and I feel like I get answers and help in a reasonable time frame now.

Pros

I get a ton of autonomy here which makes the work feel meaningful instead of micromanaged. Leadership is genuinely supportive and open to new ideas, so I’m able to be creative and try things that actually move the needle. Being able to work from home has been huge for my work life balance and I feel trusted to manage my own day.

Cons

Remote life can get pretty lonely at times, especially when most of your work is solo. I’d love more chances for connection with the team.

Pros

AVP has a clear mission to support veterinary teams and improve hospital operations and that purpose is felt in the day-to-day work. The company culture is genuinely collaborative and compassionate. Leadership is approachable and receptive to feedback. There's a strong sense of trust and autonomy, especially in my role. I've been encouraged to take initiative and help shape internal processes. Opportunities for professional development, especially for those who are proactive and and open to cross-functional work. Colleagues across departments are kind, smart, and motivated - it's a great team to be part of!

Cons

As a growing company processes are still evolving and can feel undefined. Communication can occasionally be difficult due to fast-paced changes and remote work. Workload can be demanding during peak periods, so time management is essential.
