Pros

The network of colleagues throughout the organisation are great - the training, admin, care and fostering teams are all amazing and look out for one another because management sure don't

Cons

MANAGEMENT - terrible communication, it's cemented this way for so long that they are unable to recognise that they are running this organisation into the ground. They claim to be a youth centred organisation but they, honestly, couldn't care less about the young people - they only look out for themselves. 'I don't care about the students' mental health, I care about exam results' - Director of Education 'On occasion we can provide a glass of water - but students should bring their own' - Managing Director The turn over of staff is so high, they don't replace people who leave and dump all the extra work onto the poor people who remain. The culture isn't supportive at all, management only look out for each other and blame the lower level employees for their shortcomings and inability to appropriately manage this organisation. Most organisations are trying to be more flexible, adaptable and supportive for their employees, that is not the case here; if anything, they are reverting back to archaic practices that make employees feel small and incapable. I was never given the tools to properly do my job and was chastised for it. Management don't take on feedback, they don't listen to staff, let alone the young people.
