Pros

- The people working on the ground are actually nice, if only they were treated better - The chef is nice I guess

Cons

- Leadership acts superior and inflexible, with big egos - Senior Management with no to minimal actual people management experience - Cult-like culture - Extremely unattainable targets with no support or tools to do your job - Profit prioritised far over people

Pros

Awesome people and culture. All of my superiors and colleagues really cared about team wins. Would have loved to stay there for a long time if that was possible. Was a great place to grow as a person and professional.

Cons

It's a start-up. There will be elements of 'bootstrapping and all the typical startup frustrations. So, if a start-up environment isnt for you, then maybe wait until they grow a bit. But if you like fast paced, high growth environments, Askable is great.

Pros

The platform itself was what drew me, working in the research space felt like meaningful work. There are also some good people there, and at times that camaraderie made the harder days more bearable.

Cons

- Leadership fails to lead by example, yet holds others to standards they don't uphold themselves - No work-from-home flexibility at all, regardless of circumstances - No structured development pathways or annual salary reviews - Lack of transparency around leave entitlements - Really poor onboarding experience, people confused why I was there for my first day - Agency-culture of long hours and burnout are treated as the norm - Managers openly discuss confidential matters and speak about colleagues unprofessionally - A cliquey lunch culture and social consequences for those who opt out - Witnessed other colleagues get bullied and made to feel like they weren't good enough
