Pros

Decent base salary, no micro managing, could ride out a nice base salary for a few months but don’t expect any commission.

Cons

Any US sales team member that has been there longer than a year had a previous work relationship with upper management before joining Locala. Churn and burn sales model, outside that core group. You will get no real form of training, or support from your manager. Besides previous relationships, the sales team closes zero net new business, yet they don’t hold management responsible, rather continue to hire and fire new sales employees. Just like how they comment canned responses to these reviews rather than addressing the actual problems. The “tool” that they are selling is a one trick pony. Other companies offer the exact same service along with multiple other features and benefits.

Thank you for your feedback. We have recognized sales training as an area needing improvement. We have established a dedicated Sales Enablement team providing ongoing training to current and new salespeople. As a company in hyper growth mode, with the launch of multiple new and innovative products, we are investing a lot time and effort in making sure our valued team members have all of the tools necessary to succeed. We have made mistakes with a number of our hirings along the way as well. We took risks in believing salespeople outside the industry could learn at a fast pace and be successful. Even with additional training, this can never work when our “Work from Anywhere” policy is taken advantage of. If you are never in the office around your colleagues, skip every team event and the people you work with don’t even know who you are, you will never learn. The team is consistently breaking new accounts and growing existing business at a high rate with an ARR of over 85%! The US team as a whole is exceeding goals and a majority of the staff is earning commissions consistently. It is never our policy to hire and fire. Unfortunately, when you bring in zero revenue over the course of a year we are left no choice but to sever ties. We wish you the best in your new venture.
