Pros
I worked for the best part of the year here as a Business Development Manager.
One of the things that stood out most was that it was a publication that separated the editorial and business teams. Each team works separately to ensure journalistic integrity, which adds to its reputation. The editorial team are incredibly hard working to ensure the most in form and authoritative news.
Secondly, senior management was always encouraging and empowering to all employees (I was allowed to run my own business ideas and products as well as do my own overseas business trips). This is great for people who have lots of ideas and are not afraid to try. They also support you when you need guidance.
Lastly, the team works very well together. There is a work hard, play hard culture that promotes a productive and healthy work ethic. Everyone there was very helpful and pleasant to me, provided you are cooperative and work hard. I am happy to say I have made some great life long friends here and will keep in touch with.
Cons
The rapid growth in hiring and operations has meant the office has become now too small to accomodate everyone. However this is being solved as of now.
Business ideas come from individuals, rather than groups of people. Perhaps there can be more opportunities for different individuals to come together to create new projects.
