Pros

The current staff at this job work as such an amazing team. The management is very understanding of each individual. All issues and concerns are addressed in a very personal yet professional manor. There's a clear and organized method to everything, even though it takes a little while to get the hang of it. The relationships built with the residents are absolutely beautiful. This work environment genuinely feels like a home for the residents, their priority, and employees are just there as support for the lives of those who live here. This job is overall rewarding as long as you keep the right mindset and expectations. Know that you are taking care of the last chapter of these beautiful peoples' lives.

Cons

There has been a bit of a turnover rate due to the nature of the work. As with most jobs, days off are not guaranteed, especially when someone quits and hours need to be filled. Because this is a memory care facility, most of the residents' health is on an active decline. One day a resident can be totally fine, and the next they can be moved to hospice care. It's rough to see, and can be difficult to manage behaviors and needs while fulfilling other duties. Care for elderly individuals legally requires only one person per every 15 residents, so the funding isn't enough to keep two people on shift at all times. It is up to each individual employee to complete all expected tasks, which can be extremely overwhelming.
