Pros

Team players will shine as long as they come prepared to learn and execute safety at all times - working with chemicals is dangerous.

Cons

Lack of hired on employees - it's hard to find a person willing to learn the layout and functions of the work environment when there are barely enough team members to keep the plant efficiently operational.

Pros

Steady paycheck. Decent benefits. Good diversity. Many people are exceptionally skilled at what they do. Some really good middle-level managers.

Cons

Has gone downhill since I've started here. This company has good roots, but over the past couple of years it has taken a lot of mental gymnastics to keep up with all of the changes in upper management. There's been high turnover rates in plant operations, mass department layoffs and "consolidations" that leaves many feeling insecure. Most are required to shoulder the work of many roles for no increase in pay. The now skeletonized staffing also appears to affect safety culture in a negative way.
