Pros

I genuinely tried to think up one for a long time, however I couldn't find any. Receiving your salary to pay expenses is about only the reason to be employed by these people. A colleague once told me, "it's only those that don't value themselves that still work here" It's painful to hear but it is very much true; think of you being in an abusive relationship hoping for the best but knowing deep down that you are only deceiving yourself. They facilitate a modernised sweat shop, numbers over people for these guys any day. The treat (free snacks, NOT HOT LUNCH) is provided by their client we work for, NOT THEM. Though Arvato has the money, they will never offer a hot canteen for free, not even snacks. The main headquarter have vending machines, so I guess I need not explain further. IT's not a treat from Arvato, it's the contractor whom we work for that provides it. Moreover, it's all sugar to make you work harder, disguised as treats. People who worked here have grown fatter from stress and eating all those sugary and fatty foods, so it's really not a treat.

Cons

There are just too many. I've tried to fill this Glassdoor "Rate a Company" twice and decided not to follow through, but what does that make me if I don't warn people of what they'll be entering once they apply here. New hires fret about the gruesome final exam after training, but long tenured employees tell them the real worry is on the floor. The turnover rate (rate at which people leave this company) is extremely high and I am not exaggerating. Week in week out, you see emails of people, new and long time employees (Team Leads/Managers & Regular agents alike) giving up on the company. The company has lost people who I believe to be highly valuable, so do not think that you will be of any value to them, read that again, assimilate it and accept it, because they are prepared to lose you too. THEY DON'T CARE. From employees who have gone along to build them software programs to enhance productivity within the company (something out of that employees scope) that will benefit the company, to ones that have served in different departments and giving up, knowing there is no future here. The management and employees are so disconnected it's unbelievable, you can understand why as the people in position have no knowledge and understanding of MANAGEMENT, they just worked there a long time, and hired each other like a caucus of friends. The work life is just nonexistent. If you are looking for culture, look further, THERE IS NO CULTURE HERE AT ALL, you come in to work hating to be there because you are also surrounded by a majority who hate to be there too, with the exception of the delusional people who feel they are progressing because they've been given an indirect role to tell people when they can go on their breaks or not, you know them ones. The negative energy is so potent and dense that it consumes you too. If you want to go anywhere high, you literally have to shove your nose so deep into the faeces of the management community and I mean community. You will not recommend or refer even your worst enemy to this company, that's how bad it is. Stress levels will increase, frustrations will grow, you will burn out, I promise you and much more. From speaking with colleagues from all markets, Spanish, English, Turkish, Italians, French, Germans, Hebrew etc, the consensus is the same. You get a 15 minutes break in the morning, 30 minutes lunch and 15 minutes evening break, you will not be able to move all into just 1 hour or one 15 minutes break and a 45 minutes lunch. This is whilst working a 9 hour a day job. You barely leave your seat unless it's for your breaks. You rarely get to interact with other teams and even colleagues on your own team. Thank social communications through the group messaging system (hangouts) to make a joke or two within your team You lunch by yourself as you have to wait for someone to be back before you go on yours. Your workload is extremely high, expect to work for other markets even though you get paid more or less than that market, and of course YOUR SALARY WILL NOT INCREASE. The kpi and bonus systems are designed to make you lose as much as possible before they give you any. If you decide to leave, they will insult you by offering you something close to what you are originally meant to have received, it's like they were holding on to that card for that special day when you hand in your resignation with glee after you have found a higher paying job, with less stress and better culture. Wait, they then expect you to stay after offering you a salary that's still even lower than what your new job is offering you. On top of that, they then offer you an informal role that only alleviates stress away from whoever your team lead is. E.g monitor the customer satisfaction rate across the team or tell grown adults when to go for their lunch or when they can call a customer back Some people really love that power you know. To counteract the regular emails of people declaring their exit by sending goodbye emails (that's the ones that even decide to make it public), the company sends out success stories email (emphasis on the plural word there) to show, 1-3 people who have been promoted within the last month that have been in the company for about 4 years. Sometimes, they even show the same person twice in two different success stories emails. The initiative is so well planned and thought out that the spelling mistakes just makes you cringe at their attempt to show the so called good and progressive side of the company. If you like yourself or anyone you know who is trying to apply for a position with this company, advice them that they can do better, for their own health, wealth and well being. During my time here, I spend 9 hours of my life unhappy each day, getting paid almost half of what the original company that we are supporting get paid, thanks to the language bonus. Apparently the UK/I are made to scrape the end of the pot with definitely half if not more than half what the original company pay their staff for exactly the same job, more perks, better work life etc. That alone demoralises you when you do the same job, if not more than what they do I have a lot more to say, as I said, I've typed different essays twice to fill this review section and I'm still passionate about why YOU SHOULD NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. Anyway, It's been a journey but when I dropped my resignation letter was one of the best moments of my life. THE HIGH TURNOVER RATE SAYS IT ALL. PAINFUL GOODBYE EMAILS SAY IT TOO.

Pros

Great company and good employees

Cons

This is one of the worst places I have ever worked. They do not care about their employees here; to them, you are just another number. They get upset when you use your sick days, even though they are a legal right, and then retaliate against you by punishing you when you return to work. And be careful about filing a complaint with Human Resources because they are two-faced. Instead of helping you, it often ends up backfiring on you. That is why no one feels comfortable going to them. This company does not appreciate or value its employees unless you have connections or favoritism. Management, starting from the top, has no clear direction. Everything constantly changes, even when it is not the best option, simply because someone higher up decided it. The environment feels outdated and authoritarian, like something from another era. There is a lot of hypocrisy, resentment, and abuse of power.
