Excellent environment & great management. When I worked for the company between 2007 and 2014 things were fantastic. I enjoyed my job and management in our group was very accommodating and professional. I felt challenged, appreciated while never feeling micromanaged.

Company recently went through some growing pains when purchased by Platinum Equity. The majority of Carlsbad, CA employees were laid off as the corporate office was moved to Tempe, AZ. During the transition period there was a high turnover and tensions were high. There was a lot of process changes and this caused a ton of upheaval. The only con I can think of while working there was the annual salary increases were very small - 2-3% - and that is if you busted your hump like I did. This was out of my manager's control though and she was bound by the company budget. I also felt employee appreciation and company morale was very low towards the end of my employment with Artesyn/Astec. Again, this is not a reflection on my group manager but more on upper management due to the closure of the Carlsbad office.
