Pros

I have been with Arkose Labs for 16 months now, joined Sept 2020. I can tell you that despite all the craziness that has been happening, this is one of the best companies I have ever worked for. On a daily basis I talk across the globe with the worlds largest companies. Everyday is a new challenge, and every day has its challenges. There have been some amazing changes made over the last half of 2021 that has set Arkose Labs on the right course. I am in the Sales organization, and worked for and directly with the previous sales leadership (all new since July 2021), and I can tell you that the new sales leadership has done an amazing job getting things back on track. Some of my collogues that have moved on, unfortunately got caught up in the negativity that brews when leadership changes are made. But trust me when I say, those changes were very much necessary. Each year we are doubling our sales, both in net new and expansion... So, it is an amazing crazy ride. We are a startup, things get gritty, not everything is handed to you on a silver platter. I have had to make my own way on many occasions, and was rewarded for doing so. I have found that leadership does listen and does care. I have a great relationship with all of the C-level team, including the CEO. I am able to express my concerns to them and celebrate the wins as well. Is it perfect here, no. But is any job ever really perfect. Is it so broken it cannot be fixed, not even close. If you are looking to join Arkose Labs, join to play the long game. Treat each challenge on its own, don't let problems build upon each other. Keep in mind, this company is going places, and you want to be here when Arkose Labs reaches the top (which it is very much on the way to do)! That out of the way... I find that I very much love to work with all of the members of Arkose Labs. There are no pre-Madonnas. Everyone is very humble, helpful and want's to help you succeed. I love love love our technology. We help our customers frustrate fraudsters. On a daily basis we help to make it harder and harder for the bad people of the world make money off of you. We help make the internet a safer place. I love to see the relief on our customer's faces when we put our technology in place and it works, and you can see the attacks stop. Our customers are getting beat up every day by these bad folks, and we can make a difference. For me, that is so worth working here.

Cons

Like any startup, not everything has a process. Not every question has an answer, and some answers are not the best. Not everything is in place that we need today, but it is in process of getting put in place. Within the Sales Org, the previous leadership really did a number on the team, and we lost some great team members. Time, it takes time to correct things that have gone wrong... Even 6 months after new sales leadership, things are still being corrected... but all major issues have been resolved.

Pros

The company boasts a significant enterprise customer base and maintains a competitive advantage through its dedicated Security Operations Center (SOC) team. A truly "vibrant" culture. If you're seeking a workplace that truly tests your resilience, creativity in avoiding eye contact, and ability to thrive on passive-aggressive feedback, look no further! A unique corporate environment, particularly one that values a very specific and distinctive hiring pipeline. Arkose genius lies in their laser-focused strategy: apparently, the only prerequisite for joining the Arkose family is a former stint at ThreatMetrix. Diversity? Pffft. Who needs a breadth of experience when you can have a singular, deeply entrenched perspective on... well, whatever they were doing at ThreatMetrix that apparently wasn't quite stellar enough to keep them there. It's like watching a reunion special where everyone's trying to pretend their old band was actually good.

Cons

To support their admittedly green CEO, they've brought in an equally "talented" COO – someone whose incompetence is only outshone by their undeniable toxic charm. The company is currently experiencing organizational challenges characterized by a misaligned executive leadership team and a toxic work environment. Recent changes in the executive team have created a division between those who support the CEO and those who support the COO. This has resulted in a highly competitive and hostile work environment, The current COO has demonstrated a lack of engagement with customers and a history of missed quarterly revenue targets. This has led to concerns about the company's ability to maintain its market position and achieve its financial goals.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take all employee experiences seriously and are sorry to hear this doesn't reflect the positive culture we work hard to maintain. We'd like to clarify a few points about our current organization: Leadership & Culture: We have strong, experienced leadership in place and are committed to fostering an inclusive, collaborative work environment. We regularly conduct employee engagement surveys and culture assessments to ensure we're meeting our team's needs. In fact, we recently conducted major global off-sites to realign on our goals and objectives, focusing specifically on our global workforce culture and alignment. Diversity & Inclusion: Contrary to the characterization in this review, we hire from a wide array of previous experiences and bring in candidates from all over the globe representing diverse companies and backgrounds. We're actively committed to building a diverse, global team and have ongoing DEI initiatives in place. We value diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives at all levels of our organization. Growth & Development: We believe in investing in our people and providing opportunities for career advancement based on merit, performance, and potential. Business Performance: We are absolutely on track to meet our company goals and objectives this year, which reflects the strength of our team and leadership working together toward our shared mission. We encourage any current or former employees with concerns to reach out to our People Operations team directly so we can address specific issues and continue improving our workplace culture. We remain committed to being an employer where all team members can thrive and contribute to our mission.
