Pros
The product is interesting-needs more development
Cons
Where to start… First, this might be one of the most unorganized, immature, and inexperienced “Series C” companies you’ll come across. They lack any direction, strategy, training, etc. Seriously, the list could go on and on. The leadership team is clueless, absolutely clueless and totally inept. They have created a very toxic culture where they micro manage everything. The CRO and CEO insist on being included on every sales call. They essentially want to be the sales rep and SE, however, they don’t know the first thing about sales. Their approach is to show up and present a 30+ slide deck talking about themselves, no discovery, no listening to the customer, no sales process to follow. They think every first meeting and any interest in their platform is an automatic qualified opportunity and will expect it to be forecasted and closed within a quarter. It’s comical. They lack a go-to-market strategy and will change any strategy week to week, depending on which prospect they’re talking to. Their message is confusing to most customers, fraud is so vague, and they have a very small ICP; the solution is NOT a fit for every business and they have no intentions of expanding their use case to grow the business. Their marketing is awful, too. Their idea of a marketing event is to do a happy hour every single month where they primarily include existing customers because they have no clue how to create any brand awareness. There is absolutely no Sales Enablement. After you do your onboarding with the People Team to get set up in the various systems/tools, you’re on your own and left to figure things out by listening to poor sales calls that were previously recorded. None of which have any discovery questions- just the CEO talking about Arkose Labs. Their CRM tool is a mess- NOTHING is mapped appropriately, leads are tied to reps who haven’t worked there in 6+ months. The attrition at Arkose is insane and should be a good indicator of the kind of environment you’d be walking into. They force out the good, qualified leaders to bring in their inexperienced pals from previous companies. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work for Arkose Labs. NO ONE.
