Absolutely zero scope for career progression. Company does little to develop employees' skills or to reward good work or recognise talent and potential. At the same time, sub-standard members of staff are allowed to get away with turning out poor content without facing any consequences. If you take any pride in your work or your journalism career, this quickly becomes a very demoralising place to work.
