Pros
Decent workload, freedom to do my job without micromanaging. Overall I am seeing improvements since I started. PTO does accrue very quickly, compared to other places I had worked.
Cons
Some Co-workers shouldn’t be there, as they don’t seem qualified for the job, and management won’t remove them. The Hardware team seems to be an after-thought during projects and other things, so we are often rushed at the end. The Pay could be better for what is asked of me. An overall lack of communication (which has started to improve) My department has to be physically manned 24/7 (no on-call for nights/weekends) so when a night/weekend tech calls out or takes vacation, one of the Desktop Techs have to do it. The same applies to Holidays, instead of working from home, or having someone from Help Desk work it, we have to, and if we don’t work it, you have to use your PTO to pay for the holiday (no Paid Holiday)
