Pros
There was a good environment within the organisation in the UK. Most of the offices are in very good locations throughout the UK. New staff were treated well and there is a good in-house training programme in place. Exposure to a variety of projects throughout UK and Europe. Potential for international travel. Given a lot of responsibility and pushed to perform at a high standard. Travel expenses are generous. Potential to work from home.
Cons
Poor rate of pay for new staff and bonuses are hard to come by. Level of work, particularly for graduates can be poor. Manual, physical work involved which is unusal for such a consultancy. Can be very difficult and slow process to move up the pay grades to a more senior position. A lot of driving and travel involved for site based consultants. Poor work-life balance. Most of time spent away from office.The Newmarket office can only be accessed by car.
