Pros

The people here are SMART and great at what they do. This is agency is great at shopper, it shows in their portfolio and every day on the walls (or used to) WFH (starting March 2020) was fairly easy to acclimate with Microsoft teams and everyone already having a laptop. This ended up making collaborating on decks easier and far more efficient. The people are very nice for the most part! People were understanding that there was a lot to learn and acclimate to at this agency, and they were usually very nice about helping you understand a process, tech, or anything else. Benefits package is very good!

Cons

There were layoffs every quarter. Seriously, EVERY QUARTER. They weren't always about losing accounts either, sometimes it was just another way to make the bottom line a little leaner which often resulted in overworked teams finding no relief. Layoffs happen a lot in the ad world, but it seemed to happen far more often here. Some of the contracts were underbid so the only way they could be profitable would be to make teams work more than 40 hours a week. There's some DE&I leadership, but you wouldn't see any more diversity in leadership positions--a few white women at the top, white guys replacing white guys. There would be some DE&I discussions and the Create Greater Than program with Leo, but often Arc people were too overworked to attend any DE&I events. With the acquisition of Epsilon and Hawkeye, they did a pay recalibration that brought starting wages DOWN. I know people who got promotions and the calibration meant they got a smaller salary increase. Funny timing for this to happen when they have such big goals to hire and move up more BIPOC individuals...
